It's fundamentally different from a meeting, where stakeholders attend and the purpose is to discuss the project and then walk off with action points. Working session, work session, co-working, working meeting - in my own definition, it's a 1-hour session in a very small group (often just 2 people) with the purpose of collaborating on a single project to get it to almost-completion. I'm not saying I invented it, neither was I there, but you have picked up by now that I am an advocate of any methodology that gets things achieved in a collaborative way. Since relocating to the UK earlier this year and working remote, I have unearthed an old favorite way to get things done. like site load time optimization and the world's best sales technique when faced with errors in a product demo ("I've actually never seen this before, let me escalate that".) But I digress. But it is, in fact, one of the core jobs in Product Marketing, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Meeting different mindsets and skillsets is thought provoking and led to me learning about the craziest concepts. ![]() Cross Functional Collaboration! It seems like such a buzz word, found on any SaaS job description, and it feels almost cliche writing about that.
